This past weekend, January 24-25, Taco Bus joined over 20 local chefs at England Brothers Park in Pinellas Park for the 5th Annual Pinellas Taco Fest, and we walked away with a major win: Best Seafood Taco for our Coconut Shrimp Tacos!
The Battle Was On
The “Battle of the Best” taco competition brought together Tampa Bay’s finest culinary talent, all competing for the coveted title of Best Taco in Tampa Bay 2026. With categories spanning chicken, beef, pork, seafood, and “other” for the most inventive creations, the competition was fierce. Food bloggers and community influencers served as judges, carefully evaluating each taco based on appearance, flavor, and flair.
Our Coconut Shrimp Tacos stood out in the seafood category, combining crispy coconut-crusted shrimp with fresh ingredients and bold flavors that captured the judges’ attention—and their votes.
An Epic Weekend for Taco Lovers
Over the two-day festival, an estimated 13,000 taco enthusiasts descended on England Brothers Park for a weekend filled with delicious food, live music, and good vibes. The musical lineup kept the energy high while attendees sampled tacos from vendors across the bay area.
The festival wasn’t just about great food—it was about giving back. Proceeds from Pinellas Taco Fest benefited Get Rescued, Inc., a Florida non-profit organization that fundraises to help rescue animals throughout the state. With free admission and parking, the event drew families, foodies, and taco fanatics ready to celebrate all things taco.
